PPL CONCLUDES 2026 SEASON OPENER IN NYC

NEW YORK, NY (July 13, 2026) - The Pro Padel League (PPL), the world's leading professional padel league, officially kicked off its highly anticipated 2026 season this weekend at Manhattan's iconic Hammerstein Ballroom, where four days of elite competition featured all 10 PPL teams and more than 50 of the world's top men's and women's players.

Following an exciting opening weekend, the DC Matrix, represented by Iñigo Jofre Manzanares and Alejandro "Alex" Arroyo, claimed the men's championship, while the San Diego Stingrays, represented by Veronica Virseda and Claudia Jensen, captured the women's championship, highlighting a successful start to the 2026 Pro Padel League season.

The New York Atlantics, represented by Ignacio Vilarino and Javier Martinez, secured third place in the men's competition, while the Los Angeles Beat, represented by Victoria Iglesias and Aranzazu Osoro Ulrich, earned third place in the women's competition.

The New York City event marked the first of five events across North America this season. The tour next heads to Los Angeles (Aug. 13–16), followed by Playa del Carmen (Sept. 24–27) and Guadalajara (Nov. 19–22), before concluding in Miami, where the men's, women's, and overall champions will be crowned from Dec. 3–6.

The PPL II, the league's dedicated player development league designed to identify, support, and elevate the next generation of professional padel talent, also competed throughout the weekend. The New York Atlantics, represented by Jaime Fermosell and Jose Carlos Gaspar, captured the men's title, while the Miami Padel Club, represented by Marta Morga and Brittany Dubins, claimed the women's championship.

The event was also broadcast nationally on CNBC for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the league.
