Toronto Polar Bears
The force from the North, the Toronto Polar Bears are an Original Seven team and the only team representing Canada in the Pro Padel League. Founded by Josh Garr and Rick Di Gironimo, the Polar Bears also have the support of Toronto Football Club legend Sebastian Giovinco. The Polar Bears hope to help grow the popularity of padel within Toronto and Canada at large, and since the launch of the team in 2023, the number of padel facilities open to the public in Toronto has gone from zero to eight. The team aims to continue to grow its influence in 2024 under the care of General Manager Adrian Morales and Coach Nikola Kedzo, recently signing no. 17 FIP Coki Nieto. Other top players on the 2024 team roster include Marina Guinart no. 26 FIP, Javier Gonzalez Barahona no. 70 FIP, and Victoria Iglesias no. 20 FIP.
