Cancun Waves
The Cancun Waves were founded by Oswaldo Torre who was already established in the padel business through the commercialization of courts in Mexico. From there, the possibility of having a Mexican team with the PPL arose. They looked for the best players in the country as local representatives, and from there, the Mexican dream began. Having stood out in the 2023 inaugural PPL season, the Cancun Waves reached the final of the PPL Cup and were Champions of the All-Star Game in San Diego at the end of 2023. Looking to take home the PPL Cup this season, the Cancun Waves have added Eduardo Agustin Torre (no. 7 in the world), Veronica Virseda Sanchez (no. 14 in the world), Carlos Daniel Gutierrez (no. 11 in the world), and Alejandra Salazar (no. 7 in the world) to their roster this year. Excited to arrive in Miami in April for the start of the 2024 PPL season, the Cancun Waves will have a renewed team bringing three values as a fundamental basis: Perseverance, Union, and Sacrifice.
