The Pro Padel League (PPL) is gearing up for its grand finale in New York after an
inaugural season that has only grown in drama, fanfare, and world-class action. From
Miami to the Hamptons, the tour has delivered champions, upsets, and unforgettable
stories—cementing that padel is here to stay in the U.S.
The journey kicked off in Miami, where fans witnessed a double coronation. In the
women’s category, the New York Atlantics clinched the crown thanks to a dazzling run
by Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero. They took down Sánchez’s former team, Miami
Padel Club, in the semis, before outlasting the Flowrida GOATS duo of Gemma Triay
and Delfi Brea in a super tie-break thriller. On the men’s side, Miami Padel Club, led by
Agustín Tapia and Eduardo Alonso, came out on top, defeating Cancún Waves in a
fiery final to secure the first title of the season.
In San Sebastián, the Flowrida GOATS roared back with a historic double. Gemma
Triay and Aranza Osoro lit up the women’s draw, while Leo Augsburger and Pablo
Cardona steamrolled through the men’s field without dropping a single set. The big
shock? Elite pairing Agustín Tapia and Fede Chingotto crashed out early, finishing
fourth—a reminder that in the PPL, nobody’s safe.
Mexico then took things to another level. Over 8,000 fans packed into Guadalajara,
breaking attendance records and creating a fiesta atmosphere. The men’s final was a
heart-stopper: Las Vegas Smash, powered by Francisco Gil and Gonzalo Alfonso,
edged San Diego Stingrays in a nerve-shredding super tie-break. On the women’s side,
Claudia Jensen and Lucía Sainz delivered a statement win for San Diego, sweeping
past Houston Volts. With mariachi hats, birthday cakes on court for Lucas Bergamini,
and an electric crowd, Guadalajara proved padel’s bond with Mexico is real and
powerful.
The show rolled on to the Hamptons for the 2025 All-Star, where global stars clashed
with U.S. talents in a festival of padel and East Coast flair. Tolito Aguirre and Nico
Agritelley thrilled with a three-set win, while Marta Barrera and Jordana Luján stole the
women’s spotlight in a breathtaking super tie-break. More than a competition, it was a
celebration—part sport, part lifestyle statement.
