Las Vegas Smash claims the men’s title while San Diego Stingrays triumph in the
women’s final in Guadalajara

The first edition of the Pro Padel League in Mexico broke the historic attendance
record, bringing together more than 8,000 fans to watch the best padel players in the
world. It was four days that culminated in a thrilling and historic final at El Domo del
Consejo Estatal para el Fomento Deportivo in Jalisco.
It was also the perfect setting to celebrate Lucas Bergamini’s birthday, adding warmth
and familiarity to the festive atmosphere. Eduardo Alonso reflected on the experience
and remarked: “Nowhere else do they treat us like this. Only Argentina or Spain come
close. The energy here is incredible.”

Men’s Final: Las Vegas Smash takes a huge victory in their Guadalajara debut

The Las Vegas Smash team, formed by Francisco Gil
and Gonza Alfonso, secured their second win of the year after being crowned
champions in the inaugural season, leaving their mark in Mexico against the San
Diego Stingrays.
It was a grueling three-set battle full of suffering. Las Vegas Smash took the first set 6-3,
gaining an early advantage. But Brazilian Lucas Bergamini and Argentine Alex
Chozas would not go down so easily, forcing the Vegas duo to fight hard. Anything
could happen—San Diego Stingrays were not ready to give up, pushing the match into
a heart-stopping tiebreak that left the crowd breathless as they witnessed a fierce
fight for the title.
The super tiebreak became a battlefield of nerves and skill, ultimately finishing 10-7 in
favor of Las Vegas Smash.
Despite both teams giving their all, and after an intense hour and a half of play, the Pro
Padel League trophy went to Las Vegas Smash, who were crowned champions in the
vibrant city of Guadalajara, Mexico. Argentine Alfonso and Spaniard Gil, donning
mariachi hats, lifted their trophy and promised to return next year as the Toltec
warriors of the Perla Tapatía.

Women’s Final: San Diego Stingrays defeat Houston Volts in two clean,
consistent sets

On the women’s side, the final unfolded under an air of serenity and strategy from
start to finish. The strong duo of Claudia Jensen and Lucía Saínz from the San Diego
Stingrays defeated Marta Barrera and Marta Caparros of the Houston Volts in a match
that ended 6-3, 6-4. And although the Volts fought bravely, they could not withstand
the pace and precision of the Stingrays.
Jensen reflected on the experience: “Mexico always brings me so much joy. The fans
here make every match unforgettable.”
In this way, the Pro Padel League expands its borders, making its debut in Mexico
before heading to its next stop in The Hamptons, New York, where the season’s
ultimate finals await.
