Miami Padel Club and Los Angeles Beats Secure Bronze in Guadalajara
The CODE Alcalde Dome was witness to thrilling bronze battles, with both men’s and women’s matches filled with tension and adrenaline, setting a record attendance of more than 8,000 spectators over the four days of competition.
The opening day alone gathered nearly 2,000 fans, who eagerly waited until 1 a.m. to watch the debut of Fede Chingotto, one of the most beloved padel players worldwide. The Argentine, together with Spaniard Eduardo Alonso, led Miami Padel Club in a vibrant clash.
Men’s Third Place: Miami Padel Club vs New York Atlantics
The men’s bronze match was a true display of resilience. The Spanish-Argentine duo of Federico Chingotto and Eduardo Alonso defeated the New York Atlantics in a super tiebreak. Despite losing the first set 4-6, Miami Padel Club fought back in the second, saving three consecutive break points that electrified Guadalajara and won the fans’ hearts with a Golden Point that closed the set 6-4.
“We adjusted our strategy depending on the opponent. Today it worked perfectly,” explained Chingotto.
Everything was decided in a tight super tiebreak, 10-7, where the experienced pair of Chingotto and Alonso ultimately secured a well-deserved third place.
